Life is rushed…for all of us! Some days I sit down at the end of the day and can’t remember what I did that morning (true story) or if I have even ate anything. Holidays are rushed trying to make sure you see everyone, weekends are rushed because there are always so many activities going on, evenings are rushed because of homework, dinner, ball practices, baths, and getting ready for the next busy day. I look at my oldest son is 10 and I think to myself, “where has time gone?” It literally seems like just yesterday I was holding him in my arms. I can remember having special “moments” with him at times and just knowing I would NEVER forget those times! Then reality kicks in…the truth is I don’t remember every little thing about him being a baby, a toddler, a little boy. I don’t remember every little detail about his first beach trip, his first hair cut, his first halloween, or his first Christmas. BUT..wait for it…I have pictures of all of that! When I look through my photo albums it’s like my brain gets a refresher course on my life and it all comes flooding back! We have a very busy life, and sometimes I feel like I don’t have five free minutes in a day. But it takes 20 seconds (ish) to snap a picture. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be posed. Everyone doesn’t have to be looking and smiling. Life isn’t picture perfect, so why should our photo albums be? One day, all you will have are the photos. Our looks will change, your children will grow up, you will lose loved ones, and all you will have left are these photos. So STOP for just a moment…and take that picture!!
