So, I’m not going to lie…I got a little teary eyed writing this blog! This girl right here is my little cousin. I can remember holding her on my hip and pretending she was mine (and completely believing that other people would think so too). I remember her playing putt putt at the beach and playing in the sand. She was one of my little flower girls in my wedding. HOW is she now a graduate? This just doesn’t seem possible. I still like to think of her as that little beauty queen with the little dimple under her eye (my middle son has the same thing). To say that I am proud of her would be an understatement. This girl is going places. I wish I could be more part of this season in her life, but sadly life is so busy. So her senior pictures…
Last summer we started her portraits. We chose some beautiful weeping willow trees at Luray Caverns to start. They are so whimsical and dreamy!
Ahhh she’s so gorgeous! Next we walked over to another part of the caverns where there is a little vineyard and school house. Beautiful options for backgrounds!
Now, I know she thought I was crazy. But I wanted to do a session in a laundro mat so bad I couldn’t handle it! We were watched the entire time and had an audience but it was SO WORTH IT!
You can’t go wrong with an alley and old doors downtown. So that is where we finished up the summer portion of her portraits.
So Alicia is talented in so many ways! She has the voice of an angel and seriously needs to try out for American Idol! Aside from her singng voice, she has a cheering voice (I like to think she got that from me). We skipped to fall and did some shots of her in her cheerleading outfit and then hit the outdoors for some beautiful fall foliage! For all you fall lovers….here you go!
I have already mentioned that this girl is talented. Now let’s skip forwards to spring….softball season. This girl graduated from high school on the softball field. Why? Because she, and her team, won STATE!
This girl radiates love, beauty, and kindness everywhere she goes. If you know her, you love her. I am so proud of her and I pray for a beautiful future for her. There WILL be bumpy roads, but with God by her side and in her heart I know she will have a smooth ride!
